The state legislature is proposing to cut Everglades restoration funding to just 8% of its 2007 funding level. Florida's Everglades are more than a national park or a tourist attraction. They're a vital piece of Florida's infrastructure. The Everglades provide fresh water for more than six million people. Even our business leaders believe that the state should maintain its investment in the Everglades. Can you write the budget conference committee and tell them to increase the proposed funding levels for Everglades Restoration?
